Testing Procedures: To be posted on HCST Web Site before the Exam

The time for the written and oral testing session is between 8:45 and 15:00.

The testing and interview location address is: HCST offices, Ahmed Al-Tarawneh St., Al-Jubeha, Amman.

The following are the written and oral testing session procedures:

  • Report to the testing location (reception at ground floor) at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled testing time. This means you have to be at the HCST reception amply before the test exam. If you arrive late, you may not be admitted.
  • It will be a long day so please bring a water bottle, and energy or snacks. You are not allowed to bring snacks into the testing room but you can during the breaks. Smoking is not allowed in the entire building.
  • Upon arrival you will be taken to a test room and an administrator will assign you a seat.
  • You are required to remain in the HCST building for the duration mentioned above. There are restrooms that you can access. If you leave the building and is not available for any session beginning, yourapplication will be dismissed.
  • The testing will be actively monitored by HCST staff.
  • The entirety of the testing will be conducted in English.
  • Bring with you identification documents (a Jordanian ID)
  • You will be provided a pencil, a pen and a small notepad. Do not bring any as they will not be allowed. 
  • Bring a calculator. The exam will require calculations. If you do not bring one, you will not able to answer questions and this will affect your score.
  • Bring a laptop with MS Word and MS PowerPoint loaded. If you do not bring a laptop with such software you will not be able to sit on part of the exam and as a result your score will be zero for this part.
  • You are not allowed to access the internet during testing. If you are seen using or accessing the internet using an electronic device and/or transmitting data, your application will be disqualified.
  • Before the test, you will receive an overview of the day agenda and further instructions.
  • None of the papers provided to you during the exam can be retained by you and will be collected prior to you leaving the testing location.

 

Scoring of Test Modules

Scoring is explained in the test day agenda. Note the following scoring aspects:

  • The total possible maximum score for all modules combined (total test score) is 100 (100%).
  • A minimum threshold score for the test will set and anyone scoring less will be disqualified.
  • Anyone scoring zero (0) or less on two of the modules will be disqualified. 
  • We may grade the test on a curve, and we expect about those who score highest will move to the final testing/selection step.
