National Center for Human Resources Development (NCHRD)
The National Center for Human Resources Development (NCHRD), which was carrying the name (The National Center for Educational Research and Development) till May 1995, is now ten years old. The reason for changing the name was to be in line with the national aspirations to enhance and promote human resources development and improve relevance of outputs of education and training programs to labor market needs, in addition to continue evaluation of reform programs in education. This is in harmony with national aspirations in human resources development through sound planning for training and education programs. The ultimate goal is to keep up with the accelerating changes in socioeconomic requirements.

National Center for Diabetes, Endocrine and Inherited Diseases (NCDID)
The National Center for Diabetes Endocrine and Inherited Diseases (NCDID) was established in 1996 as one of the centers affiliated to the Higher Council for Science and Technology.The Center aims at training, qualification and research and development in the fields of diabetes endocrine and inherited diseases. ![]()
National Energy Research Center (NERC)
The National Energy Research Center has been established in Amman - Jordan for the purposes of research, development and training in the fields of new and renewable energy; raising the efficiency of using energy in the different economic sectors.

Jordan Center for Public Policy Research and Dialogue (JCPPRD)
The Jordan Center for Public Policy Research and Dialogue was established in 2004 by a decision of the Higher Council for Science and Technology. The Objective of the center is to enhance the participation of civic society in matters of public nature through conducting scientific analysis on issues and policies of concern.

National Virtual Center for Biotechnology (NVCB)
The National Virtual Center for Biotechnology was established in December 2003 by decree of the Higher Council for science and Technology to which it is currently affiliated.
The main purpo se behind the establishment of the Virtual Center for Biotechnology is to stimulate interaction and knowledge sharing between Jordanian and Arab scientists working in the various fields of Biotechnology with the ultimate aim of nurturing cooperation leading to practical results.

Jordan Badia Research and Development Center
The Jordan Badia Research and Development Program (BRDP), is a national program aiming at contributing to the sustainable development of the Jordanian Badia to enhance the quality of life for its inhabitants. Since its establishment in 1992, as a result of a memorandum of understanding signed between the Higher Council for Science and Technology (HCST) and the British Royal Geographic Society (RGS), the program implemented numerous R&D projects, human resources development programs, and entrepreneurial projects.

National Network for Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology (NNAMNT)
This network was established in 2004 by a decision of the Higher Council for Science and Technology based on recommendation suggested during the tenth Jordanian Science Week.
The objective of the network is to introduce and develop advanced technologies. ![]()
The Regional Human Security Centre
The Regional Human Security Centre is affiliated to the Higher Council for Science and Technology and was established in July 2000 with support from the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and was officially inaugurated in May 2001. The Regional Human Security Centre is a non-profit, independent institution that seeks to advance the human security agenda through applied research, training, and the facilitation of dialogue around practical policy recommendations, it seeks to do the following:
· Raise the level of awareness of humanitarian and human security issues amongst academics, practitioners, and policy makers at the national, regional and international levels.
· Build a strong and multidisciplinary in-house team of academic researchers capable of producing high-level research that develops the theories of human security while advancing practical solutions to the humanitarian crises in the region.
· Serve as a forum where stakeholders from across West Asia can come together to work in a collegiate atmosphere to address wide-ranging and threatening human security issues.
· Build a collection of knowledge that allows stakeholders from across the region to draw on the work of the RHSC and to develop their own research strategies, which in turn could be funded by the RHSC Research Trust Fund.
· Assist governmental and non-governmental entities across the region in the design and implementation of humanitarian programmes and policies.
· Offer training on subjects related to human security.
