Opportunities of Solar Energy in Jordan (MED-SOLAR Workshop)

The National Center for Research and Development (NCRD), in collaboration with Solartys, the cluster for the internationalization and innovation of Spanish solar industry (Barcelona, Spain), presented in a new workshop hold in Amman on 28th January at the premises  of the Royal Scientific Society, the expected results in Jordan of MED-SOLAR project, which invests on promoting and implementing innovative technologies in the field of solar energy

MED-SOLAR has concluded its second year, after its launch in January 2013. The workshop aimed at highlighting the development of the project in Jordan, with particular focus on the regulation of the Jordanian power market, the energy management system and the insights of different ENPI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme projects in the country.

The project [MED-SOLAR] is implemented under the ENPI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme.  Its main objective is the promotion and the implementation of innovative technologies, as well as know-how transfer in the field of solar energy, its total budget is 3.021.590 Euros and it is financed, for an amount of 2.656.771 Euros, by the European Union through the European neighborhood and Partnership Instrument ENPI. The ENPI CBC Programme aims at reinforcing cooperation between the European Union and partner countries regions along the shores of the Mediterranean Sea
